Ordered via a delivery service. Driver was great! Food? Not so great. I ordered plain naan and Cheese Kulcha. I received two burnt plain naan and no Kulcha. This restaurant seems to like to burn their naan because this is the fourth time I have received burned naan. The butter chicken is $16+ and yet is served in a two cup container (dishwasher and microwave safe). The rice has grated veggies and was good. Served in a small Chinese rice like container. The aloo tikki were falling apart and good. The vegetable samosa was bordering on burned as well. Overall, not worth the $34+ tips and fees ($9+). Other platforms have this same restaurant at $36 plus $10 fees and such. Again, just not worth it. There are other Indian places in town that care about the food they send out

We were in town for a track meet. I was surprised that the menu I found online didn't clearly note which dishes were vegetarian and which were vegan. We decided to grab lunch there as Indian food typically had lots of meatless options. Unfortunately, the man working didn't seem to know what dishes were vegan (no animal). Definitely a language barrier to overcome and didn't leave me with a lot of confidence. We ordered vegetable pakora, vegetable samosa, and chickpea masala. I thought everything was vegan but when asked the man working seemed unsure. I think he was confused about what I was asking but "vegan" and "no animals" should be obvious. There is an article on the wall near the point of sale system about eating vegan. It seemed to be a one man show. I'm pretty sure one guy was taking orders, brought us clean plates and utensils, cooked, served our food, and cleaned our table. Respect to him, that's a lot to do, plus they lived up to the "Express" in their name, as food was severed quickly. The food was good but not great. This is quickly becoming our go-to place on our weekly night out. The prices are good and the food is fantastic. We haven't had anything yet that we haven't enjoyed. Our top favorites are the Butter Chicken and the Malai Tikka. I absolutely love the Cheese Kulcha and my husband likes the Garlic Naan. We have also enjoyed the Jalfrezy, Kadhai, Shahi Paneer, Tandoori Chicken, and Lamb Curry. If you enjoy Indian cuisine this is the best place in Decatur. It is a very small dining area but when we have been there and they need more tables, they will seat people in their event room. The event room is beautiful. I love these small, family owned restaurants and want to see them all be successful.You won't be disappointed with a meal here.

Absolutely the best Indian food in the area. We drive from Lincoln to come here and have never been disappointed! Solid, fresh, and well-balanced complex flavors you can tell are prepared for you when you order and are not just sitting around. The rice itself is well seasoned and never bland or clumpy. The butter Naan is fabulous and flaked with a loose pastry like consistency. All of the breads are cooked perfectly and come out warm and delicious 😋 We always eat in the small cozy dining room and have lovely attentive but not overbearing service, and we feel genuinely welcome each time we dine with them. There's low-key Indian music videos playing on the TV and they give an exotic touch to the atmosphere (which is tastefully done and even extends to the clean and nicely decorated restroom). Now that we have found Tandoori Express, we've been back three times over the past month and plan on returning frequently. Freshly prepared while you wait. Authentic preparation and flavoring. They pay attention to the details. Great prices. Serving sizes are great. Loved the music in the background Will be coming back again!
